Municipal Court Career Opportunity

The Carneys Point Township Municipal Court in Salem County, is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a part-time sound recorder. Must be available for all scheduled court sessions. Sessions are held on Wednesday mornings at 8:30 am and last approximately 3.5 – 4 hours.

Duties include setup and testing of the recording equipment, recording court sessions and maintaining an accurate log of the proceedings.

The Carneys Point Police Department will begin using body cameras this week. The body cameras will be on and recording during all police investigations, as well as the in car patrol cameras. We are releasing pictures of an officer wearing the body camera so the public is aware of what they look like.

Bulk Pick Up Fees for Televisions & Computers

Effective Immediately – As per Ordinance 206-10.4, the fee to dispose of a television and computers (monitors & towers) will be as follows:

                   TV’s up to 32 inches                             $  5.00

                   TV’s 32 inches and above                  $10.00

                   Computers (monitors & towers)    $  5.00


Bulk Trash Stickers can be purchased in the Municipal Clerks office at the administrative building located at 303 Harding Hwy, Carneys Point.
